Why Everyone Loves Living in Queens Lake
Queens Lake is a non-restrictive neighborhood, which means we don’t have a traditional HOA dictating what residents can and can’t do with their properties. Instead, we follow York County and Virginia State rules and regulations. Our association is more like a country club, minus the golf course.

Some might see this as a drawback—but most of us are grateful for the freedom it brings. In Queens Lake, you can:
• Raise chickens in your backyard
• Plant a garden in your front yard
• Paint your house any color you wish
• Park your boat or RV in your driveway

Queens Lake is more than just a neighborhood, it’s a lifestyle. With its charming streets, natural beauty, and warm, welcoming community, it often feels like living in a resort. Whether you’re riding your bike to the pool on a summer day, enjoying a sunrise paddle on the lake, boating out on the river, or gathering with neighbors for a clubhouse event, life in Queens Lake is filled with memorable moments.

We are incredibly fortunate to have an active and dedicated organization, the Queens Lake Community Association (QLCA), which maintains and enhances our shared spaces — including Queens Lake, Princess Pond, two pools, marina, playground, clubhouse, tennis & pickleball courts, and fields. These amenities not only enrich our daily lives but also help preserve and increase our property values.
